Oh MAn!!!!!!

Haven's favorite show is Dora the explorer and swiper the fox saying "oh man" so , thus the title of this post, because this one is all about poor Haven.

She was screaming at her brother at the top of her lungs, and I told her if she wants to scream she will have to go to time out on the stairs. she was on the floor crying/screaming and i was holding Jaxton. So I bend down and grab her hand and pull her to a standing position and walk her over to the stairs. * note I did not do this with anger or jerk her up , I just helped her up off the floor. well she continues to cry and cry and comes to me in the kitchen holding her arm by her wrist saying her "awm hurts" ,she wont let me touch it, when she moves it she screams !

I am thinking ok, I know I didn't break her arm, but what the heck??? so I give it a few minutes to see if she is just overacting because she does have an ear infection so that makes her a little more grumpy than normal. but she continues to cry about her arm for about 10 minutes

so I decided to take her to the Urgent care. I was worrying that she had a crack in her bone or torn ligament in her wrist or something and that they were going to think I abuse my child when i tell them that I did it to her by pulling her up off the floor.

Come to find out the Dr. said she probably had radial head sublexation or NurseMaids Elbow. which is a PARTIAL dislocation of the radius bone head from the ligament.

and it is very common for young children to get fairly easily. so that made me feel better.

It was fixed easily. the Dr. just pulled on her arm a little while rotating it up and he felt it pop back in. she instantly felt better and started acting like herself.

so lesson learned and a word to the wise: try not to pull your young children's arms because all it takes is an extension and twist of the arm, to cause alot of pain. if you click on the nursemaidselbow you can read more about it, it is good to be aware of. Had I known that something like that could happen I wouldn't have freaked out worrying that I broke her arm.

OUR HOUSE IS FOR SALE !!!

We are really sick of the crappy weather and want to be more centrally located to my family as well as Tim's.
We hope to move back to the Salt Lake Valley and Tim get a job selling cars until we are established enough to start our own Carpte cleaning business, preferrably in St. George Utah.

Watching summer go away...

My kids watching for lightning and listening to thunder. I put Jaxton by the window to look out while I was cooking dinner then a few minutes later Carter brought blankets and pillows over for Haven too.

Jaxton is two months old now, which is just crazy and sad and exciting all at once. Here is his Tie picture for 2months along with his height and weight we found out from his dr. appt.
He is so fun and smiley.

Jungle Fun, Grow board and Blessing Day

We made paper bag puppets the other day. We realized we had made all jungle animals,with the exception of Haven's kitty cat, so Carter asked if we could make the living room into a jungle.
I said sure , then told him he had to think of how to do it. He remembered we had some "green stuff" from a birthday party leftover. So as you can see we hung the paper Mache from the ceiling like vines then scattered it on the floor . Then Carter grabbed q-tips and pretended they were blood sucking worms. lol pretty creative i would say. it was easy and fun for the kids.

I saw one of these at a friends house and this is my rendition of it. I bought a 6 foot board from Lowe's. spray painted it light green. Then had my mom's friend Sandy Cricut the vinyl letters and numbers. to make this Grow board. I thought this is a fun way to measure your children's growth over the years, without marking up walls and this can come with you wherever you move.

Carter is 3foot 8 inches and Haven is 2 feet 10 inches.

Today we blessed Jaxton. It is always a neat experience to hear your children get blessings from their father. He wore the same tux outfit we had Carter blessed in. He looked Very handsome. everyone kept saying how cute of an outfit he had and wondering where I got something like that. I told them all that you can't find outfits like this anywhere but in Utah of course. :) my sister in law who likes to tease about the mormons said, "yeah probably on every corner in Utah". lol

I LOVE HIS SMILES !! the camera distracts him though so it is hard to get a full one. But baby smiles are the best !right?
