Haven was playing in my window seat, with the curtains,
Saying Peek-a-boo. She was laughing so hard she lost her balance and fell over and hit the corner of her eye my paper shredder that was there. If you or your kids have ever hit their eye in the corner, you know it swells right up into a huge bump .
In fact the first time it happened to Carter I debated whether or not to take him to the ER because the bump is instant and really gross looking .
But Then it will start to spread out into the eye lids, and look worse every day.

but it is just the shadow of me holding the camera.
Carter had the same exact bruise when he was barely 3. He was riding his scooter in his room and fell and hit it on the corner of the table holding his t.v.
His was a little closer to his eye so it actually broke some blood vessels in his eye ball too.
Hopefully not all my kids have to have one of these, and hopefully they don't get any more, they look horrible.
People definitely look at you weird in the store, unless they have toddlers also then they say "uh oh looks like she had a spill"

POOR little thing that looks terrable. This has happened at our house to so it must have to happen to every kid just to scare there mom haha...
OOOUUCH!! Thats so sad! Poor thing! Black eyes seem to be the thing right now..Harris was playing basketball last week and he got kicked in the eye, he was standing straight up. he was catching the ball in the air..We do not understand how it happened but he doesn't look as cute as Haven with a black eye.. Sorry little sweetie..kisses from me..
OUCH!! I know what you mean when they swell up instantly and that they just get worse over time. I had that happen to my Carter and he nearly needed stitches he hit the corner of Wendy's table and almost split it open. Carter was lucky though he had a Doctor's appointment 2 days after it happened, and he said that it would take about a year to see the redness go away and he was right. So he looked like he had a fresh new red pump on his eye all the time and people asked what happened and I would tell them he hit his eye in a table um almost a year ago. Oh well kids will be kids:)
Oh poor little girl! That looks so awful!
That's horrible!!! I hate it when your kids get hurt, and your setting there watching them, but can't move quick enough to get them. The poor little thing.
Ouch! Poor girl. Maybe Carter set a trend? I can't believe you're almost 20 weeks! Are you going to find out what you're having? Or do you already know? Or is it a suprise? Good luck! Wish I was that far a long!
Poor little gal.. It is a very good thing kids are so resilient. Maddy has never really had anything like that happen. Dax on the other hand is ALWAYS getting hurt.
For some odd reason I always wanted a black eye haha
Poor Haven-- I think it is the age-not old enough to reason that if they do something they might get hurt and cannot realize that they should not do it again because it hurt the first time!!
Ah, poor thing!
Sad!! She is too cute to get hurt!!
